Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon was collected into tankoubon (volumes) following publication of the individual chapters in Nakayoshi. The 18 original tankoubon comprise 52 chapters, bonus stories, and two specials (“Kaguyahime no Koibito” and “Casablanca Memory” comprise volume 11). Liner notes by Naoko Takeuchi called “free talks” were written for each volume. Pages that had been printed in Nakayoshi in color were printed in black & white in the tankoubon. These 18 books went through numerous printings over the years before the series was reprinted in 2003 in new cover editions.

Kaguya-hime no Koibito (“Lover of Princess Kaguya”) is a side story that was adapted as the Sailor Moon S movie. It was published in a standalone tankoubon with a larger page size than the standard Sailormoon volumes (it may have been published originally in the shoujo magazine Run Run like the rest of the Sailormoon side stories). It was later republished along with Casablanca Memory in Sailormoon volume 11.
